Compatible rear master cylinder push rods

Post by PuppyWing »

Hi everyone. The rear master cylinder push rods on my 83 Aspencade is pitted and I'm not sure how bad the pitting has to be before it becomes a hazard. But just to be safe I'm interested in getting a new one. I've seen some on eBay for other Hondas that look like they will work but Im not having any luck finding one for the gl1100. Any suggestions?

It would have to be some pretty serious pitting to make it dangerous. All I can suggest is make sure you get a longer one you can cut and thread to the proper length.

I would take a wire wheel and clean it up real good. I think it will be ok.

Sure but what's underneath the pitting? How far down does it go?
