Post by trikist » Fri Apr 06, 2018 2:15 am

Hi ive recently bought a gl1100 it does not want to recharge ive changed the battery, new rec.relay but still not charging.
ive been told it may be the stator but is there anything I can check first...
I was told its been standing for a while but don't know how long..
Any suggestions please... :D :D :D :D

Pull the battery cover and check the plug on the three yellow wires coming from the stator. These plugs are known to overheat and melt...wich can cause stator failure. The best thing to do is to cut out the plug and solder the wires directly to each other. If yours is bad the stator might indeed be toast

That is the connector from the pulse generators. There are also 3 yellow wires there from the stator.
