Point me in the right direction please

Post by cruzan_papa »

Hey guys,

So I want to polish a few things on my 82 GL1100, I’ll post a pic with Yellow Arrows. The valve and timing belt covers I can get to, or I know what to do to get to them. It’s the manifold and what ever the name of that cover is (if anyone knows please educate me on it). If possible I would like to get it done while it’s on the bike, but if I have no other choice then it’s coming off. I would like to know is there a video or a “How To” on here for such project? I tried looking but I don’t know if there’s one, as well as YouTube unless I’m using the wrong words? Anyways if any of you know where I can find instructions on how to get this done or a vid, I’ll greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for all your help! :D

I thought about that and went on Bikebandit but just like that site link, they show the carb but don't name or point out what the name of the cap is. I found out by watching a vid on youtube lastnight after making this post. Now I'm thinking if this is too much trouble should i just buy them in chrome?
