I just bought a 1982 Honda Goldwing Interstate! It's naked and appears to have been painted a very unique yellow/orange.

It runs so smoothly but in order to start it you need to arc the starter solenoid using a screwdriver or similar. So instead of diagnosing, I just bought a new solenoid, but that didn't fix it so I bought a new
handlebar control for the starting switch (but I didn't want one new and one old so I purchased the pair) but THEN i realised that the new starter switch did not have two exits for a push pull throttle so I purchased a new this point I figured I might as well get new levers and repaint the very rusted handlebars...and NOW I've just ordered fresh stainless steel braided lines....
Oh and I had ordered a left side battery cover, but it's a completely different color lol

and my wife thought me getting a used bike would be the cheaper option!

Congrats on the new scoot. I have the same year and model wing. Love it, except for the oil leak, the starting that's beginning to fail, etc. They are fun to ride though!
