Hi,
I left my GL1100 1981 model for 9 month I had some work abroad. When I came back and started it and after a full riding day and then back. I started noticing an oil leak underneath the engine I thought it might be from the oil filter or oil drain plug since I changed them but they were dry. Any suggestions?

Re: Oil leak
Check the weep hole under the water pump. Check the shifter oil seal on left side. When all else fails follow the trail of oil to its source.

Re: Oil leak
Spray brake cleaner to clean all evidence of oil, then puff some talcum powder all around. Run the engine, and it will show exactly what the source of the oil is.
