Cool at last
It is a very happy day here in central France. I have just collected my totally rebuilt GL1100 radiator from the specialist and it looks MAGNIFICENT! The original core has been completely removed and a new core of increased depth (+18mm) inserted. To the untrained eye the radiator looks identical to the original, the guys have done a great job adding 18mm and circa 30% increase in cooling capacity. The overheating problems experienced during our very hot summers will be a thing of the past and the old girl (1980 GL1100 fitted with EML sidecar) will be happy and cool once again. I will post some photo's in the member pictures area.

Excellent!
I hope installation goes well and you have many more years of riding ahead on that classic.

Re: Cool at last
Thanks C-dub, I bought the bike in 1980 and the chair went on in 1984 when my son was born. I am sure she will appreciate a new radiator! I recently managed to track down some pads for my EML brakes so more miles to enjoy in the future.
