Oil insists on dripping!

Post by ride dont hide » Wed Dec 12, 2018 8:46 pm

83 with 77000 miles. After sitting for a few months I went to move it and there was a very small dime size oil leak coming from the timing belt cover on the left side. It is on the sidestand when this happened. Is there any common cause for it? Looking for ideas before I tear into it. TIA!

Probably the valve cover seal at the front corner - look underneath it for a remaining drip.

If yoiu are sure it's from the timing belt cover..either crank seal is leaking or one of the cam seals..if not the water pump oil seals/washers are; if the pump it's coming from the weep hole.
