mixture screw adjustment tool

Post by quasi2008 » Tue Dec 18, 2018 11:25 am

what's the best practical tool that will work to adjust the mixture screws on the Keihin carbs? I've read that the 110 degree end tool does not work well on the 1100's. the motion pro gear drive 90 degree tool should work but it is kind of pricey for my retired wallet. tks,

I have tried a few of the of the shelf angle adjusters but none worked to my satisfaction or their cost. So I made my own. It has a closed angle so it is easy to get under the carbs and hold in place. I designed a collar around the screw driver bit to keep it centered on the mixture screw (limiter caps removed). A speedometer cable is used to provide a flex drive. I was a pretty easy project to make and with it adjusting the mixture screws very easy.
