welding precautions

other than disconnecting the battery, any other precautions I need to take before mig welding on my bike. doing some mods to the engine guards, they need to be mounted until I get things tacked up. tks,

thanks. wasn't sure about any effects it would have on the charging and ignition system. worked heavy collision for 30+ years and disconnecting the battery was usually enough.
