alternator conversion

so here is what I got going on. using a 50 amp mini denso 1 wire v belt alternator. I believe it has a 2 3/4" pulley. i'm wanting to use a 3 1/2" pulley at the crank. is this pulley combo suitable or should I go to a larger pulley at the crank?
the stator in the engine is working fine for now, don't know if or when it will ever fail so this is a preemptive strike. besides I like to be seen and see where I am going. heated gear capability would also be nice for my old'ish bones. I already had the radiator and belt covers off because I had convinced myself I didn't torque the cam and crank bolts to the proper specs when I changed the seals. all was good.

If you find a 3 1/2 " pulley let me know as I am in need of one also.

got my 3 1/2" steel pulley at tractor supply. requires a bushing down to 12mm. and about a 1/4" spacer to clear the covers. this is a V belt pulley. trying to do this on a fixed income budget and so far minus the belt, I have less than $120 in the project. I've sourced most everything I need from amazon, lowes, and auto zone. MikesXS has 19mm x 12mm bushings that should work, at least I hope they do.

How are you going to use the key way on the crank?

I had a pulley made and they screwed the key way up which led to my engine blowing up.

did the conversion, charging fine ok at about 13 volts at idle. had to bump my idle speed to 1150'ish which is alright with me. used a 3.5" pulley from tractor supply. used 3/4" x 12mm bushing. had to use 4 fender washers drilled out to 12mm as spacers. used locktite between the washers and on the bolt threads. run the bolt in, cracked it with a 1/2" impact, started the engine and it spun fine. not having a key or pins through the pulley into the crank made me nervous so I drilled for a pair of 3/16" pins. convinced myself that I still don't trust it so I took the drawing I found on this site down to the local machine shop and am having a proper pully with keyway slot made. the worse thing about doing this conversion was modifying the fan assembly. don't really have any pics of it but it's pretty much the same as the others shown on the site.
