7 Volt Regulator
please help. i have a 82 gl 1100a Aspencade and i am putting a new windshield on it and i have the insturment cluster/pod loose and i have been reading about the new 7 volt reg. and mine is working good now but i was wondering if i should replace it now while im in the location of the Reg ? im also thinking of changing all the insturment bulbs to led is that a good idea to do so now too ? Thanks for all the help.

you are more apt to get something that is broke, than not.

Yours might work for another 20 years, it might fail tomorrow. Personally, I would just leave it. If and when it does fail, it's not that big a job to get to it to replace, and doesn't require removing the windshield.
