where did you get your new wire harness? I recently bought a project and I am finding dead end wires and also soldered wires that aren't shrink wrapped, and I'm not sure they are routed properly because I've found worn out wire as well. I'm thinking of replacing the whole thing! I have half the bike apart now my as well strip jer down and fix it right

You'll have to find a used one. They are model specfic on the 83 wings, Aspencade vs Interstate vs naked(standard) GL

Can't help you with the flat rate estimate

Yet you need to take the bike away from them ASAP.
Otherwise they are going to continue to pack hours on it till you can't pay and they are going to keep it.

Then they are going to flip it as a "Mechanics Special". Or mysteriously fix it soon after and sell/keep it.

Sad but a lot of people loose vehicles this way to shops.
I figure it is better to get an estimate from the start and have the shop stick to it.

When there is some you don't want none, when there is none you want some  .
You can please some people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time  .
Do what you can, with what you have, while you can ;) .
