front brake issues

Post by dragondoc » Mon Mar 11, 2019 9:28 pm

I have been getting my new to me 83 gl1100 standard goldwing set up for this season and for the life of me I don't understand what is going on with my brakes. I know the brakes are back to front right but when I hit the rear brake fluid shoots out of the top of the bleeder screw as if it wasn't even in there. Due to that I believe it is why I don't have front brake pressure. My question is do you guys think I just need a new bleeder screw or would there be another explanation? I am new to posting on this site and I do apologize if something of this nature has already been posted. Thank in advance.

Thank you for the reply. Getting a new bleeder today. It was just confusing. Hopefully the new bleeder works. So ready to have this thing road worthy.

I would have borrowed the bleeder screw/plug from the front left and swap with the leaking one.
Then check for a leak, this way you can tell if the seat is bad or not.
