banjo bolt question

Post by chris22indy@att.net » Thu Mar 14, 2019 1:07 pm

Can someone tell me what the length and pitch is for the rear caliper banjo bolt for my GL1100 Standard. Mine started leaking on a 150 mile ride. I have rebuilt the caliper some time/miles ago and this just started. I suspect either the crush washers or the banjo I thought I would replace the whole shebang. I know I should be getting braided lines, but no budget right now. I would like to know what braided lines are suggested for the GL1100 standard.

Thanks in advance

I had similar problem in the past, all I had to do was to turn the washers around.
What happen is they already took a set and will leak when switch around while taking the assembly apart and back together.

When there is some you don't want none, when there is none you want some  .
You can please some people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time  .
Do what you can, with what you have, while you can ;) .

Copper crush washers are available at any automotive store. Replace those and you won't need to bother with the banjo bolt - it's not the source of your leak.
