gl1100 towing

Post by jaimenv »

Has any one ever towed gl1100 like this?
I have to take my 81 gl1100 to get inspected.
Due to having to take my mom everywhere I go, I can't drive it over also the tires are too old to safely ride it.

Not recommended, with the engine not running the oil pump, there's no lube for rotating transmission shafts.... even in neutral, there's transmission parts still turning.

Will it pass the inspection with tires to old to ride it?
On many long journeys have I gone. And waited, too, for others to return from journeys of their own. Some return; some are broken; some come back so different only their names remain.

It's not a safety inspection.
For some reason they have to inspected due to the prior owner not being available for the transfer.
Far as I know PO left for mainland US of A.
The guy I got the bike from never did the transfer.
