Spark Igniters
What would cause the ignition control units both to melt? Also one side of the fuse box headlight terminal melted. Are these related? I haven’t checked to see if I lost spark but I have no power going to the headlight. The fuse is still good. The ignition still works. The starter still turns over.

Re: Spark Igniters
After 30+ yrs they get hot and melt. You can fill them with epoxy like every one else has had to do.
No these are not related.

I've had these glass fuses "Fail" rather than "Blow". Element comes detached at one end. Check your headlight fuse by putting a voltmeter across it, if there's voltage, the fuse is bad, even if not blown (melted).
