Rejoining the cases.

Hi
I just rejoing the cases after doing some work.
I’m having trouble when I tighten the bolts up.
the engine turns over and everything seems good.
When I put the clutch basket back on and tighten down the 5 bolts on the springs. Everything gets locked up?
As in the engine will not turn , if I engage the clutch it will turn. The gear selector will turn but only so far , so it seems I must have done something wrong . When the cases just ‘ sit’ together it’s all good.
Any ideas, I’m sure it something simple I have missed .

If I understand what you wrote I imagine you got the shift forks out of place somehow and have it in 2 gears at the same time.

Yes it’s def the gears just got to figure out what I did wrong
