Throttle Cable Too Short

Post by rabianchi007 »

Greetings,
I followed the instruction thread and now at the end it seems the push cable is too short to make it into the handle. Can I make an adjustment somewhere to get the slack? Thanks for any advice.

There are three different places. One is on the pull cable, right next to the handgrip:

The other two are on the ends of the cables attached to the throttle body:

Start with them all the way in to hook up the cables, then adjust them outward.

The ends that connect to the carbs are not adjustments, they is what they is. There is another adjuster in the middle of the pull cable in the middle next to the air cleaner.

No, they are not intended for use as adjusters, but they can be used as such during the initial installation before the final adjustments are made.

You're right about the other adjuster over the air box, I had forgotten that one. It's here:

The problem was that center adjuster near the air box. Loosened it all the way and the cable went right on.
