number one piston location

been told bottom left is 1 also been told top right is 1- need confirmation which is 1 & 3 and 2&4 firing order when sitting on bike looking forward- engine has been apart for quite a while

Don’t know what bottom and top mean.

Right side as sitting on the bike is 1 front, 3 rear.
Left side as sitting on the bike is 2 front, 4 rear.
