1981 carbs

Post by Chewy »

Does anyone have a line on someone that can rebuild carbs? Or a contact number for pistol pete in east tennessee? I was given 81 and the carbs need to be overhauled, but the rest of the bike is in fairly good shape.

I think Pistol Pete may be retired but maybe his son still does carbs. There is a guy on the NGW club that is a Randakk approved carb rebuilder and I have read some good things about his quality of service. The link to him on the NGW site is:

Unless it's your only bike, give it a try your self. You've got all winter, what could go wrong. Plus, once you done goldwing carbs 3 or 4 (or 5 or 6) times, everything else will seem easy.
