what size copper washer?

Post by TonyE » Sun Nov 10, 2019 2:41 pm

hello all, I have a leak on my front breaks where the bolt goes in and I am thinking it is the copper washer. Does anyone know exactly what size washer that is so I can just order a kit and make sure that one is in there? They are just regular copper washers right? thanks for your help as always:P

They are "crush washers". Some are aluminum, some are copper... either will work.
I got some from Amazon p/n DPWM10.145-10, price $7.23 for a pack of 10.
For reference, these are metric size M10 - 14.5mm banjo bolt crush washers.
That means they are for a 10mm bolt, with an OD of 14.5 mm.
I reuse them sometimes, but after too many "crushes", you should replace them for a good seal.
I've tried a lot of auto parts stores... none of them had this size. At some point, GoldWings switched away from the banjo bolt style brake lines, but if yours is still banjo bolts, this is the size.
