1981 Honda Goldwing gl1100

Post by Mikegl1100 »

Hello i’m a new proud owner of a 1981 Honda Goldwing GL1100 I am currently restoring I have ran into a situation where my fuel gauge does not work.. I see on the site that it could possibly be the 7 Volt auxiliary voltage regulator that I intend on buying from the site here.. is there anyone that can tell me where to locate this on my bike? I did see where it’s located on a 1982 however that is different than mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.. Mike Paris Illinois

my 1980 - 1983 factory service manual says it's on the backside of the gauges, but i read on another goldwing site that some (1982) have it mounted below and behind the steering weight, and by all accounts it's a beast to get at. hope this helps somehow.
