This past year I noticed my idle speed seems to be running a couple hundred more rpm while stopped and after the bike has warmed up.
I started to burn Ethanol free gas exclusively this past year. I also installed a new air filter. I've been using the old one for a lot of years since I haven't done much riding and it looked clean.
Would either of these cause the idle to run faster? I'm hoping yes. If yes, I'll simply dial it down a bit next season. If no, I'll reopen this thread next season for advice.
Would these increase my idle speed?

Re: Would these increase my idle speed?
With a bike that is 37 years old, I suspect a vacuum leak from old cracked hoses would be more likely to cause an increase in RPM.

Yes to both of your changes. Set the idle speed and see what happens anyway.
