That's going to be tough to do, as the cables just barely reach the hand grips now.
The best you can do, is to get the risers that will lift the bars up about 2 or 3 inches...
my 1800 has risers on it, were there when I bought the bike.
I'm 5 ft 11, and they feel good to me....
Ape Hangers on the Goldwings is really a bad idea, it will destroy you being able to handle the bike in hard emergencies, 900 lbs plus is a lot of weight to manhandle if a hurry.

in that case, you can raise the bars up and route the wires and cable in a more direct path.Darkshadow87 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:17 pm Going naked with it all the faring and bags are off. As to what bars?
you made need to have it custom built.

Install your taller bars where they feel comfortable.
Leave the existing push/pull cables in their original routing path and drape them from the new bars with the controls mounted.
Take into consideration where you will clock the controls on the new handlebars. The controls have a locating pin, for which you can drill a detent hole into the Apes to accommodate.
Measure the additional cable lengths you need, adding that to the existing lengths (measured after removal).
Clearly communicate that to Motion Pro and they'll likely have a set already at the desired length. If not, they'll make them.
Way back when I got brake hoses made, I used 12/2 ROMEX to mock up the hose lengths. Flexible, yet rigid enough to follow the installed hoses path. On my 82, I used a double banjo at the front MC and eliminated the splitter. I don't recall which hose vendor I used, but they were in Canada and recommended installing a swivel banjo fitting on one end to eliminate "fitting clocking" issues which was helpful. Definitely do that

When all else fails, RTFM!
