repainting dash on the instrament cluster

Post by tigercub »

My idiot lights light but the white paint on the indicators has long since worn away. Has anyone had any luck repainting the script?

Maybe get a P-Touch labeler and some transparent label tape for it. You could print out whatever you want to show on the lights, then stick that over the lights themselves.

Alternatively, they also have white on clear label tape that you could stick directly on the dash.

Right, so the white print on the clear tape might work really well for you.

can you show how you got the cover off from the fuel and temp gauges ??? I had mine apart to change light bulbs and wanted to clean the inside of the fuel and temp glass and couldn't get it apart in the short time I spent in it. At the time getting it back together was more important than clean lenses. Thanks !
