Length of brake lines for '83
Length of brake lines for '83
Have gone all around the internet and manuals searching for the lengths of the 3 brake lines for an '83 Interstate and can't find this information anywhere. Can anyone help with this?

Re: Length of brake lines for '83
the rear brake line is about 42 inches long, end to end
the front brake line from the hand lever to the junction block is about 32 1/2 inches
and the 2 lines from the junction block to the calipers are about 16 inches each.
I have an 83 GL1100 Aspencade. I have changed the rear brake line thinking it was bad. i could not find the exact line for the bike so I went with on that was a little longer.. it works but it wasn't my problem.. it was the rear master cylinder. the return hole was plugged up.

Sure you have an '83? The '83s have the rear brake and front-right linked, so there is no junction block at the front, only a single line from the MC to the front-left caliper.

it is an '82.
I'm not seeing any where to find the info you are looking for. maybe a Honda dealer parts shop?
my Aspencade and the old interstate are both '82's and both have the front and rear separate.

Re: Length of brake lines for '83
My research has brought me to this conclusion. Stock lines for an '83:
Rear = 16" / 15 degree banjo / female fitting
Front (R) = 33" / 15 degree banjo / female fitting
Front (L) = 48-49" / 15 degree banjo / 15 degree banjo
Rear = 16" / 15 degree banjo / female fitting
