82 speedo has more wires

Post by AlmostFamous »

My 1100 speedo died and I found another.
Can i use an 83 GL650 speedo in place of my 82 GL1100 speedo?
The 650 speedo looks the same untill you open it up.
The 1100 has 6 more wires. Can I just use the 650 speedo and not connect the speed sensor on the 1100?

Thanks

You can, but the automatic turn signal canceler won't work anymore.
