Spline paste

Post by Chewy »

https://www.amazon.com/Corning-Molykote ... B00B3UUFR4

I ordered this from Amazon, but the label on the jar says molykote 111. Can this still be used for the splines on my '80 wing? I was not able to find an MSDS to find the concentration of molybdenum disulfide in the paste. It is a clear silicone paste. Thank y'all.

Here are two links to the MSDS , some now call them SDS, they should help.

Honda specifies minimum 60% moly content. The MSDS for that product says it is between 63% and 71%, so it should be fine.

Where did you find the SDS for that? I looked through a dozen links on Google and could not find one. Maybe it was just because I was trying to find it being the reason that I couldn't, I don't know.

This is what was delivered. It is not what is in the Amazon description.
