Hey y'all, Im looking into upgrading my headlight and wondered what I should be looking for? I would like to go to LED as I want to reduce the draw on the bike and have a clearer and brighter light at night. What lumens should I be looking for? Should I go with new LED bulbs or a new headlight all together? And all help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

For the 1100, the reflector inside the original headlight will definitely not be as shiny as it was new - so I would definitely look at a complete custom replacement LED headlight. You'll get more light, and use less power. Win/win! You can get them relatively cheap: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=7%22+led+hea ... ingdocs-20Billthebulldog wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 10:51 pm Hey y'all, Im looking into upgrading my headlight and wondered what I should be looking for? I recently made some upgrades to my 1983 lighting.
Originally I installed a complete assembly from Ebay. It fit perfectly with no modifications.

My 35 year old 35 watt halogen driving lights were not cutting it so I replaced them with something like these from Ebay. Sorry I can't seem to find the original order

Once I upgraded my driving lights to LED I wanted to headlight color to match. So I put the original assembly back in and used this bulb from Amazon.

Before the upgrade I would do my best to avoid driving at night since it was way too dangerous. I'm now amazed at the light output. The one thing I want to say is these cheap LED's do effect the FM signal although I don't care since I listen to music through my phone.
