Headlight wires
Noticed black blue and red wire going to fuse box but been snipped but headlight works .what is in headlight--- is is side head and main...high and low beam works

the 3 wires to the headlight on all my bikes are green, white and blue. I suspect the wires you are talking about were from some now removed accessory, but I am not a wiring guru. Someone else will chime in I'm sure.

Good place to start is google "wiring diagram gl1100" and print out the jpeg
It's helped me a lot in tracing problems
I had to tear out a lot of spliced in junk wiring when I got mine

Same as elementfe, I had to cut out a lot of junk wiring when I redid my turn signals and brake lights. There was a lot of spaghetti mess, especially in the headlight bucket. But definitely print out the wiring diagram, it's really helpful.
