Letters below the Start/Stop selector????

Motorcycle: 1981 Honda GoldWing GL1100 40k miles newest addition to the barn runs but needs love, 1986 Kawasaki Voyager 1300A 34k miles Absolute basket case but it's all there, 2005 Suzuki S50 Boulevard (VT800) 2k miles this is my current rider, rescued from a dusty garage and gummed up carbs ...... carbs rebuilt..... runs like a clock

Letters below the Start/Stop selector????

What do the H the P and the dot below the Engine start/stop switch mean? I have been repainting the letters as mine were very faded and that is when I noticed these.

Hmm.. Kinda looks like that rounded area the annotations are on was made to accommodate a three position switch that isn't there.

I know some European Spec models you could turn the headlight off... "Headlight" "Parking Light" "Off", maybe?

Yes you are spot on. In the UK we have the switch there. My CB750L (US import obviously) has the letters but no switch.
