Markland rear light bar LED upgrade with OEM look

Post by norseman47 »

I decided to upgrade all the marker lights, on the Markland light bars, on my '82 1100 Interstate. I had upgraded the lights with LED bulbs, but I still didn't think they were bright enough in the sunshine. After a bit of internet searching I found LED replacements. For trial fit, I replaced only the left end light. The new lamp is hard to distinguish from the old, & it does appear brighter due to it's bigger bulb area. While I was doing that I pondered on how to make the brake & blinkers more noticeable. I decided that adding brake/blinker to the upper truck lightbar would raise them to a cagers eye level. So, this is what I came up with. Added two flexible LED strips to the corners of the Markland trunk bar, thereby really putting attention on my arse end...

The trailer LED replacements are from here: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Lights ... cjybbmm578
