hello all. kind of new to this forum but here's my issue.
I have an 83 interstate that I did the head gaskets on. right side no issue. holds fluid like a champ.
left side not so much. I have replaced and the head gasket and cleaned the mating surface each time and still leaks. I torqued the head bolts to 40ft lbs ,with the last time of doing said job I swapped the cylinder heads to see is that would make a difference and no dice.
can some one explain what could be the issue??
much appreciated

Re: head gasket
If you are talking about the covers for the rockers. Buy new bolts for the 4 holes and new rubbers.
After 2 new Honda seals, with gasket sealer, I still had oil on my boot.
Finally after replacing the bolts and rubber no more oil on the boot.
