Has anyone here on the forum run a clear fuel line on GL1100 or GL1000 and had air bubbles? (The 1000 & 1100 have identical fuel pumps)

I'm trying to sort out if this is normal or not - we would never see this with a stock fuel line.

Thanks in advance.

I have used them on a couple of bikes. The clear lines always end up turning yellow and dried out (hard) in just a few months.

Air in the fuel lines (or filter, which there always is) is not a big deal. It's carbureted, with a float bowl, it's not like a fuel injection system where air is a serious problem. When the air bubble makes it to the carb, it escapes and goes out the float bowl vent, no big deal.

Thanks Wingman - this is the confirmation I was looking for.

I will continue looking for the cure to the poor performance. Idles perfect but no power on the road and I've been through all the usual suspects. Perhaps it's time to start the process over from the beginning.
