part location
I am in hopes my new voltage reducer will be here when I get back from Amarillo - gotta take wife in for checkup. seems like something always needs maintenance. I don't know if I ever got a clear answer as to exactly where the reducer is located on an 82 interstate.and if the original looks about like the replacement or if it's something different that needs to be removed to replace.I'm assuming it is in the gage cluster with the spedometer and tach but I could be wrong. I had it opened up when I replaced the spedometer and I'd sure hate to go back in there for nothing as it's pretty packed. it would be nice to get it installed this weekend if time permits

Re: part location
Do you mean the 7 volt regulator(you said reducer)
I have an 83 Aspencade so I have not confirmed this...... It says in the link it is behind the temp and fuel gauges......

the 7 volt regulator did come in and it has an excellent instruction sheet along with it. now I just need to get motivated and get out and change it out
