Hello again everyone!!
Boy! It’s been a while and I hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been very busy with many builds and decided to build my own shop/ man cave. Finally I’m at the point where I can transform this 1980 Gl 1100. I do have a single carb setup but might need to go back to stock as I have to modify the frame and will go with a gas tank up front.
Here are some pics of my new man cave along with the new project!

Re: Hello again everyone!!
I'm impressed. But it looks like you took the pics on the day the sheet rockers left. Where are the tools? What... no oil stains on the floor? Don't mind my comments. I would have the place plumb full of junk parts and other worthless storage items within a week. I'm the guy with a garage and shed so full of "stuff" that I have to rebuild things on my kitchen table. But I live alone, so I can get away with that.
Seriously... we'd all love a dream man-cave if we we could. Congrats!

Re: Hello again everyone!!
Bike is back from welder. I just threw on some old 1985 Honda shadow shocks and it’s obvious they won’t work. Any ideas on what shocks to go with to hold this thing up? I’m suspecting spring rate will be around 600.

With the shock bottom mounts THAT CLOSE to the swingarm pivot bearings I doubt you'll find anything strong enough to hold up the rear of the bike.
You might need to revisit your design and get the bottoms of the shocks a little further away from the swingarm pivots. That's why Goldwings have the shocks right at the axles.
I'm no artist, but you might have better success trying something like in this quick sketch.

On his the shock bottoms are something like 8 inches away from the swingarm pivots. Yours are only a couple inches away.... This will put tremendous stress on the swingarm bearings.

Moving right along! Trimming her down now, then prep for paint! Dry fitting a few things . Shorter and lower handlebar, coil overs might be too stiff but will work for now.
