got the gages working.
it took me a few hours longer than I thought it should to replace the voltage reducer since I had to remove the instrument cluster and open it up and even then the wiring is so packed in there it's a struggle to get it backtogether even after removing the old one. but the temp and gas gages work like they should now and that is a good feeling.

But.... Please..... Rather than starting a new post, you need to keep your posts together so you complete the original post...just add replies when on the same subject that way when someone uses the search tool and brings up your post because they have the same questions needing answers they can find out what to do..... Capish???
