1981 GL1100 rear shock recommendations?

Post by Steve_S »

My 81 GL1100 is in dire need of rear shocks. Every time I hit even a minor bump, feels like I'm bottoming out. Haven't been under to look at anything yet, just going on what little mechanical instinct I have....lol

So, I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

If the shocks are original, the springs are probably tired. I know when I replaced the original shocks on my 1982 GL1100 with a set of Progressive 416's, the bike sat up about an inch and a half higher in the rear!
