I am waiting on new starter brushes, 83 GL1100I, from Honda, $18. 3 more days before the arrive. Now it occurs to me that some really smart soul in here probably could have told me to go to NAPA an order,,???,

I've taken various motorcycle starters to the local automotive Alternator/Starter shop. $30 and it's ready the next day.

Re: Just curious,
I took my starter to a local automotive Alternator/Starter shop. I had one I took for parts and the one off the bike.
He took one look at both and said he had the parts for both of them. Next day I had 2 like brand new starters and lost only $55.00.
