Mystery Spring

Post by h13man »

I'm wrapping up a 1100 carb cleaning/rebuild and I have mystery spring that is the same size as the idle air adjustment springs but smaller coiled spring wire. The only place I see it could be used is on the opposing side of #3 "pump" diaphram over its shaft. No diagrams I seen of the carb illustrations shows this critter anywhere. Any thought or help would greatly appreciated.

Have a pic with a tape measure in the pic for size reference?

After a closer look at the part schematic @ Partzilla, it was the #3 carb accelerator pump spring. The illustration leaves a lot to be desired for sure. Thank you for the reply.
