83 honda goldwing gl1100 am I starting in the right place

Post by JackLeach »

I recently inherited a goldwing that's been sitting for about years ago. When the other owner had it the stator went (that's what he thought) so I got it home yesterday and charged the battery to see if I could get it to start. No go the bike will crank but it won't turn over.

So this weekend I plan on spending some time with it. I'm thinking I'm going to check the spark plugs and test the fuel pump. I'm also planning on doing an oil change as well but I was curious if anyone else had any ideas on places to start.

Drain the old gas too while your at it. Take a look in the tank for rust as well.
