Does this mean engine pull
Just went and checked the charging system because I didn’t think the battery was getting charged. Attached is what I found. If I’m not mistaken you have to pull the motor if you need to change the stator.

I’m get 12.2 at idle and 12.5 at 2K. So it should run at normal operations with no additional draw but how screwed am I?

I’m not completely happy with the repair but it’s not pulling the engine. Sounds like I need to sync the carbs again now though. Didn’t have this knock before at idle.
And yes I did order the parts to do this properly.

Here’s a good way to test your charging system:

I would also test the AC output of the stator. It should be >50 VAC @ 3,000 RPM. Be careful when doing this.
