In cleaning the carburetor jets, I don't see the reason to separate the main jet from the needle jet holder as they indeed came out together as a "unit". Besides, squirting or soaking them together in carburetor jet cleaner don't we get the same result as separating them and cleaning them separately or.....am I missing something important?
Thank you for your opinion on this matter,

Re: 83 GL1100 - Main Jet and Needle Jet Holder
Been so long since I did the carbs on my 83 I don't remember.....but....I'm just finishing up getting a KZ750 back on the road and I've had to pull the carbs several times because of things i missed. My best advice is that if you're already in there pull apart what you can and verify that everything is clean and clear.
