Hello everyone!
I’m fairly new to the whole gold wing life, but I’m excited to start. I got a 83 GL1100A a month back and I’ve gotten everything perfect except for the carburetor. I have cleaned it and rebuilt it multiple times now but I still can’t get the bike to run. I believe there may be a blockage somewhere between the carb and the fuel like. The fuel flows from the tank perfectly but it will not get to the carb at all. Any idea on what it may be?

Re: Carburetor problems
I guess the next thing to check would be 1) Is fuel making it through the filter to the fuel pump? and 2) Is fuel making it through the fuel pump to the carb ?. #1 is easy enough, disconnect the fuel line at the fuel pump and see if it's flowing freely. #2 would entail disconnecting the fuel line from the carb inlet and cranking the engine to see if it's making it to the carbs.
I'm selling good clean fresh hay. If you want some that's already passed through the horse, that comes a little cheaper!

Re: Carburetor problems
I forgot to specify, my bad. The fuel is making it all the way through the fuel pump no problem. The problem lies with the fuel getting to the carb from the fuel pump. I have replaced all the hoses on the bike so it’s definitely not a clogged hose. Does the carb have some type of fuel rail that transfers the fuel to all the carbs? If yes then there might be a clog in that. I don’t fully know though. This type of carb is very new to me, I’m used to dirt bikes so it’s a lot different.

Re: Carburetor problems
You say you rebuilt the carbs. Please elaborate on the rebuild. Did you separate the carbs from the plenum and also split the plenum during rebuild? Or? There are passages thru the plenum supplying fuel to the carbs.
