Ballast resistor value?

Ballast resistor value?
I'm about to tear into what I believe to be an electrical gremlin and will be checking the supply voltage to the coil, coil resistance and probably a whole bunch of other stuff such as connectors along the way. Pretty sure I have the info I need except the impedance of the ballast resistor, does anyone know what this is supposed to be (ohms)?
I'm selling good clean fresh hay. If you want some that's already passed through the horse, that comes a little cheaper!
