Has anyone other than me bought a Randakk's Cycle Shakk GL1100 Carb Rebuild kit with incorrect parts inside? I ordered it back when this kits were backordered during the "CCP Alpha Strain" era, circa 07/2020. Then, other Sh*t called life got in the way, and now almost 2 years later I'm back at work rebuilding the carb rack. To my dismay, when I opened the Randakk kit again today and took a closer look at the contents, I realized that someone at Randakks messed up when they put this kit together. It contains four air cutoff valve rebuild kits, but all four are not the same, as they should be. Two look right, and two look wrong. Just wondering if this is an isolated incident, or if anyone else get a funky kit from Randakk right after they got these bits back in stock after a long period of N/A at the supplier.
TIA

Re: Randakk's GL1100 Carb Rebuild Kits
So, upon further review, the mistake that Randakk's parts picker made was to include two (2) air cutoff valve rebuild kits for the GL1100 (Randakk p/n 100-1253) and two (2) air cutoff valve rebuild kits for the GL1000 (Randakk p/n 100-1250). Unfortunately, the new owner of Randakks will not make good on their mistake bc the 10 day return window expired long before I found their error.
So on top of paying $340 for the Master carb rebuild kit, I had to fork up another $46 today for two more GL1100 cutoff valve kits from K&L (which in all likelihood is where Randakk sources them anyway). In my mc repair business, if I f*ck up and do something stupid like buy the sell or install the wrong part, I don't care how long it takes for the customer to realize my screwup, I make it right. That has a name... its called integrity. Needless to say I'm more than a little disappointed in Randakks rigid unwillingness to own their misstep and make good on it. Lesson learned and not soon forgotten.

That's unfortunate. For sure, Randakks is a slim shadow of the great company it once was.

Re: Randakk's GL1100 Carb Rebuild Kits
This was my my (final) message to "Sam", whomever or whatever he is in the Randakks/Z1/MikesXS impersonal business conglomerate:
-----------------------------------------------
Hello Sam,
Thanks again for your brisk reply. Needless to say, I’m a bit disappointed, but ah… c’est la vie. Customer retention best practice says you probably should have just sent me the correct parts gratis, thereby owning for your mistake (and making me a customer for life). All I wanted was what I had paid $340 for; that and just a little understanding and empathy.
Of course, at the end of the day my business means nothing to you. But in my business, when I mess up, I own it and make it right because there’s no expiration date on honesty and integrity. My takeaway from our interaction is that the boutique specialty supplier, founded by true enthusiast Randall Washington, died the day it merged with Z1 and Mikes XS, forming a large impersonal conglomerate.
Words for every consumer business to live (or die) by: “When a customer is satisfied, on average they tell three people about it. When they are unsatisfied, on average they tell 25 people about it. Without customers, there is no commerce.
Good day to you, Sir.

internet warriors. always make a good website, always advertise they are the best. i could talk for years about those who have profitted from the harley riders, but i will not. oem float valves and a couple orings would have worked great if you had cleaned the jets.Dubdenny wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 3:32 pm This was my my (final) message to "Sam", whomever or whatever he is in the Randakks/Z1/MikesXS impersonal business conglomerate:
