I have had some minor problems with the bike since i got it. Like spark plugs got wet and i would call the bike moody. When cold it has good power. When warm and starting ar intersections i could somethimes get the feeling that it needed more throttle to get rolling.(lack of low torque) Checked float heights a dosen times and it is synced. Then i started to think that it could be coils. Started to checkout the neon coil modification, But ended up buying an aftermarket set. Bike got better. But.....restarting it after it is warmed up is a bit troubling. It starts in the blink of an eye, but it feels like a punch in the motor. It doesnt feel smooth. I hardly touch the button to start it. If i press it I can hear the starterengine spinning after it has started.
So my question is....can this be related to the preignition system? Or are the carbs out of syncronisation? When i apply suction to the vaccume line, I can hear it snapping back in position. What about the springs that operates the weights in the advance mecanism. Can they loose tension when warm and not pull it to normal position? is it greased up? Any ideas?

Re: Starting at operating temperature.
Looking forward to hearing this one. I'm a "Basics" kind of guy and didn't hear mention of wires, plugs or plug caps. Been sniped a time or two overlooking the somewhat less obvious.
I'm selling good clean fresh hay. If you want some that's already passed through the horse, that comes a little cheaper!

Bought a kit with coils, caps and wires.
Checked valve clearance, belts and positions on them. Fuelpump changed to new original. and a new Randakks fuelfilter.

Re: Starting at operating temperature.
My GL 1100 sat for 10 years did a lot of work to get it running and in the beginning, it had a few issues it started right up with no problem but there was a low hissing noise and it would not go over 80 MPH it turned out he drop down gauges on the carbs was leaking they do not come with the carb kits . did you redo your carbs ? and were the drop-down gauges replaced?

All air cut off valves changed. I had some coughing at throttleoff, but got rid off it when i changed all of them.
