Apologies in advance if this has been covered, but I searched and came up with squat…
I’m trying to finish rebuilding my ‘81 GL1100i nonrebuildable fuel petcock. I’ve done this once before on my ‘80 CBX but it was years ago and I don’t remember if it had the same parts inside. The question is a simple one:
Does the white nylon (or teflon?) plastic washer go underneath or overtop the wave spring washer? I realize that both of these parts go between the front side of the lever and the cover plate, but the entire assembly went “ping!” onto the floor when I removed the front cover last night after drilling the swaged stakes holding it together. This is the first time I’ve encountered a white plastic washer in a petcock build.
TIA for your knowledgable and experience based replies.

Re: Petcock rebuild- order of parts
Randakks has the instructions. Scroll down to the 1100. Sounds like the cbx petcock is the same as the 1100

Re: Petcock rebuild- order of parts
Thanks for the reference to the Randakks write-up. I had this document in-hand during the rebuild process and unfortunately there is no reference anywhere in the paper to a white plastic washer in the petcock.
