Hi everyone,
I’m new to the goldwings. Does this bike have a built in air compressor for the shocks or do I have to put air in them myself? Thanks in advance.
Dan.

Re: 1983 Gl1100 Interstate Air Shock Question
only the aspencade has the on-board air compressor on the gl1100. when you go to fill it, make sure you have your air compressor output turned way down; the suspension just holds a very small volume of air. better yet, use a bicycle pump.

Re: 1983 Gl1100 Interstate Air Shock Question
i think i may have to correct myself ... starting in 82 it was available as an option, but if yours had it, the control buttons would be staring you in the face.

Thank you. I have no controls on the dash. I appreciate the info and I’ll make sure to be careful putting air in those. Take care.

Re: 1983 Gl1100 Interstate Air Shock Question
The fill valve is under your right side cover and may have a pretty chrome cap fills just like a tire valve stem. The Interstate did not have a built in pump while the Aspencade did.
