dash lights 82 GL 1100 (no clothes)

speedo,tach,oil,high beam are all illuminated but NOT the temp gauge or the fuel gauge......are there bulbs within the nacelle unit to replace or are these two locations not intended to illuminate?

I was also advised by another member the bulbs can be replaced with mini leds?

Replaced by halogen bulb with a LED headlamp...wow.....tight fit but it will work

is access to the compartment via the 4 small Phillips recessed screws?

There is a single bulb that illuminates both meters. You can replace it with an equivalent LED, but you need to make sure the LED emits light out to the sides. A LED that sends light only out through the front won't work well.
